Celebrity deaths and world development issues aside, 2016 shaped up to be an incredibly eventful year for Games Workshop hobbyists. In this three-part series over the next couple of days, I will look back a bit on the year that was, and into the year that’s coming. There’ll be a bit about my thoughts regarding my own progress, the development of Games Workshop as a company, and what I expect from the new year. In this first installment, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on releases and progress this year, from the point of view of a customer, fan and interested study of Games Workshop.

Aelf Exiles: Five units you wouldn’t take in 8th edition (that are awesome now).

As we all know by now, Age of Sigmar is definitely not Warhammer. Curiously, though, every attempt I see at making any sort of composition system for army selection (and there’s been rather a few!), people seem to base any sort of balance around the perceived meta stemming from the final few months of 8th edition.

Sunday long read: The future of Warhammer.

With Age of Sigmar less than two weeks away, the rumour-mill is running haywire, and as with most things that are as heavily locked down as the new game appears to be, most of the rumours both contradict each other, appear either way off the mark or simply too good to be true, or somewhere in between.

So, what can we expect from Age of Sigmar? Without any sort of inside information or preferred rumours, this is my own personal take on what I think the new game will bring.
